A Message From Your Excessively Clean Team

Cleaning workers are on the front lines of the Coronavirus Pandamic and have been deemed as essential businesses .  Which means that we are open to serve you and ensure your businesses remain safe, healthy, and clean.

We have been keeping up with CDC recommendations, as well as recommendations from The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA), and have been taking important steps to ensure the safety of our cleaning crews, as well as our customers and their spaces.

In accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act), we as a company have been taking the following measures:

  • Promoting frequent and thorough hand washing, including providing workers with a place to wash their hands. If soap and running water are not immediately available, we provide alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol.

  • Encouraging workers to stay home if they are sick.

  • Encouraging respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.

  • Maintaining regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, equipment, and other elements of the work environment.

  • When choosing cleaning chemicals, we have consulted information on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved disinfectant labels with claims against emerging viral pathogens. Products with EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims are expected to be effective against SARS-CoV-2, based on data for harder to kill viruses.

Health and safety are always our number one priority, and in addition to preventing the spread of COVID-19 & all virus'. We are committed to keeping your work areas clean, healthy, and safe in your businesses.

WHAT IS COVID-19

  • Coronavirus is a broad category of viruses. There are seven known coronaviruses that can infect people. They were first identified in the 1960s. You may hear people call this latest one “the new coronavirus” or “the novel coronavirus” to specify which one they’re talking about.

  • SARS-CoV-2 is the name of the current coronavirus.

  • COVID-19 is the disease that is caused by SARS-CoV-2. The name tells you that it is the CoronaVIrus Disease that was discovered in 2019.

 Cleaning Process & PPE

  • Protective gear should be worn by everyone to help fight the spread of the novel Coronavirus. But it’s especially important while cleaning. This includes everything from disinfecting to taking out the trash. Face masks are the minimum, but additional gear may be necessary for individuals depending on the type of business you have, the type of work a person is doing, and their level of interaction with customers and other employees.

  • Wearing gloves while cleaning has always been important. It helps protect your skin from the harsh chemicals that many cleaning products contain. Likewise, eye protection can protect you in case cleaning chemicals splash or splatter towards your face. A disposable gown or apron is a good idea in order to protect your clothing.

  • Once you’ve finished cleaning then make sure you remove your gloves and other protective gear and throw them away and thoroughly, properly wash your hands.
